I lost every key. Is that fixable without a tow?
Almost always, yes. That is the job this business exists for. We originate a new key at the vehicle and program it to start — no tow, no dealership appointment.
Will this be cheaper than the dealership?
Usually, and the saving is often large once you count the tow. But not for every vehicle — a few makes are genuinely cheaper through the dealer. We will say so rather than take the job.
How long does it take?
Most keys are cut and programmed inside an hour once we are at the car. Travel time depends where you are in Lake County.
Do you need the car's papers?
Yes. Expect to show photo ID and proof the vehicle is yours — registration, title or insurance in your name. Anyone who does not ask for that is someone to avoid.
My key turns but the car will not start.
That usually means the immobiliser is not recognising the chip, not that the key is worn. Bring it to us before replacing anything expensive.
Can I get a spare before I lose the first one?
Please do. A spare cut from a working key is the cheapest version of this job by a wide margin. An emergency all-keys-lost call is the most expensive.
